The Gnomies are knitted flat, starting with the boots, legs, body, and head. The arms are knitted separately and then attached. The pattern also includes simple outfit designs such as a hat, dungarees, and a smock dress. When completed, each Gnomie measures approximately 8 inches / 20cm tall.

You can use any yarn from your stash, but it's important to maintain consistent yarn weight throughout the project. For double-knit yarn, I recommend using 2.5mm needles to achieve the 8-inch/20cm size. If you prefer Aran weight yarn, I suggest 3.5mm needles, which will result in a slightly larger Gnomie.
